AFP reported that the incident took place on April 30 when a group of protesters brought guns to the Michigan state parliament building to ask the state to relax blockade orders.
State police wore masks and blocked these people from going further inside.
“Right above my head, men with rifles shouted loudly at us.
Politician Dayna Polehanki posted a photo of protesters carrying guns standing right above.
Outside, many protesters carried signs with messages fiercely critical of Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
According to AFP, this is a movement called `American Patriot Protest` conducted by the group `Unite to Liberate Michigan`.
“We do not agree when our inalienable rights are restricted for any reason, including the Covid-19 pandemic,” the group wrote on a Facebook page with more than 8,800 members.
“We believe that every American and every Michigander has the right to family-supporting work, free movement, religious gatherings and other purposes,” the message said.
The protest took place just 1 day after the Michigan court ruled that the stay-at-home order issued by Governor Whitmer on March 24 did not violate people’s rights.

This is the second time this month protesters have asked Ms. Whitmer to lift the blockade.
On April 16, about 3,000 protesters also went to the Michigan state parliament building, causing serious congestion on the roads surrounding this facility.
Ms. Whitmer declared that protesters were “allowed to be angry.”
“I said it before and I’ll say it again.
According to AFP, Ms. Whitmer’s government’s moves to deal with Covid-19 have received a generally positive response, despite protestors.
